An exhibit called “Painting in the United States: 1943-1949″ is being showcased at Westmoreland Museum of American Art in Greensburg, PA. The exhibition runs from June 29 to October 19, 2008.
The exhibit “reconstructs a sampling of the exhibitions of the same title organized by Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh from 1943 to 1949.” The exhibit includes 42 of the actual works that were displayed during the original exhibit.
